The line between retro, past and present is ever blurring in today’s fashion. For Spring 2009 expect an awesome merge of all your favorite style decades and interesting takes and styles of the future.

PLAIDS!

Plaid was one of the major trends for the fall.  Celebs like Lauren Conrad and Miley Cyrus made it wardrobe staple.  Now it’s being carried over into Spring 2009 and I can’t help but approve!  I love the funky pattern and colors they come up. 

Zip it!

The zipper is a modern fashion-statement, both functional and decorative; metallic zippers on black/white fabrics have a bigger visual impact.

Frills &Ruffles!

All-over frills and ruffles is still a huge trend but what has my attention are these amazing flowing tiered ruffles that chime exotic mystique.

And the winner is…

The little white dress, body-conscious or not, with couture worthy details, the little white dress is a serious candidate for next spring's wardrobe staple.
